Cheyenne Rose, 25, of no fixed place of abode faces four charges of presenting counterfeit money knowing it to be counterfeit and four counts of dishonestly obtaining property by deception following an alleged shopping spree in Nowra on April 12 this year.

In the space of around two hours police allege Rose visited four different businesses presenting a total of 18 $50 bills - $900 in the fake notes.

Police allege around 10.55am she presented six $50 notes at the Aldi Supermarket in Nowra to purchase a home security eight channel camera system, followed by a visit to Blooms Chemist  at midday where she allegedly presented three $50, buying two bottles of perfume.

Between 12.20 and 12.40pm she allegedly presented $300 (six notes) to Goldmark Jewellers to purchase a gold bracelet and just minutes later her alleged spree was completed when she allegedly presented staff at Aquatique in Nowra with three $50 notes in buying a vintage pair of Adidas shoes and a baseball cap.

Rose didn’t enter any pleas in Nowra Local Court on Monday before Magistrate Gabriel Fleming, with the matter due back in court on November 16.
