Working bees will be held at Leaver Park Bushland Reserve every second Thursday of the month for weed management and to protect native plants. Residents of Bundanoon and nearby villages will concentrate on the reserve located on the south-west outskirts of the village.
“Aside from its European history, the area lies along the Aboriginal ‘road’ stretching from the coast to Goulburn and further west into Wiradjuri country,” Council natural resource officer Paul Marshall said. “Bushcare volunteers make a real contribution to protecting our environment and gain a lot of personal satisfaction, knowledge and skills.”
