The recently-renovated Burradoo home received thousands of votes from the public in the 2016 Stayz Holiday Rental Awards.

Bowral couple Alischa and Hayden Herrmann took on the project last year, having finally found a project they felt was “worth spending time on”.

Eight months and a lot of elbow-grease later, the pair had produced a stunning holiday home, perfect for a group escape.

The two-acre grounds includes a 1930s estate home as its main residence, a detached servants cottage and a pool for the summer months.

“It’s mainly rented by larger groups because it sleeps up to 12 people and we rent out the whole property – we see a lot of Sydney families come to stay, or bridal parties getting ready for their big day,” Alischa said.

“Stayz is such a big website with so many properties, to win makes all the hard work we’ve done worth it to see it valued and appreciated.”
