Not nest-essarily for the mail

NOT all things are eggs-actly what they seem. This is something that Bowral’s Glynn Stiller learned recently.

“I took this photo in Somerset recently while on holidays. This post box was located in a lay-by off the road, with only one farmhouse in sight,” Glynn said.

It quickly became clear to Glynn that the big red letter box had been re-purposed by a feathered squatter.

A Royal Mail Notice stuck to the letter box (as can be seen in this picture) said “Please do not use this collection box as there is a bird nesting. Next nearest box is at Water Row. Thanks”
