The Scarecrow Competition is on again for the Budanoon Garden Ramble, and residents are letting their imaginations run wild.
Lions Club member and organiser Elizabeth Cranny said she was impressed each year by the scarecrows.
“We’ve had some extraordinarily creative scarecrows entered throughout the competition’s history,” she said.
“We purposefully stayed away from setting a theme as we just wanted the community to participate and get creative.”
She said the competition had been created as part of the Ramble.
“We wanted to do it for fun and it just evolved,” she said.
“Some participate without even entering the competition.”
The scarecrows will be displayed a few days before the Ramble starts to prevent entries from being damaged by wind or rain.
The Bundanoon Garden Ramble will take place on October 22 and 23 from 9.30am to 4.30pm.
