THERE was homemade yogurt, strawberries. beer onions and all sorts of wine available at the Sutton Forest food and wine cluster launch.
Held in Corbett Gardens, the launch celebrated all the products that can be found in Sutton Forest.
1910 Bottling Company CEO Steve Hogwood said the time was right for producers of the Highlands to come together and show off the great food and wonderful wine available in the area.
“It takes just one person to bring everyone together and it has just grown,” he said.
“The time is now right, and we can surpass places like Mudgee and Orange, we are poised to be the bread and wine basket for Sydney.”
New projects in the area were also revealed at the launch.
Sutton Forest Country Store owner John Oba said he planned to convert the historic shop at his store’s location into a coffee shop and art gallery.
“I managed to secure it just six months ago and I’ve already started to talk with local artists,” he said.
“I think it’s a great addition to the fruit, homemade sweets and yogurt already sold at the store.”
