Classes will be held weekly on a Tuesday at 10am.

Southern Medical Centres practice manager Helen Portus said that the medical centre hoped to introduce more classes in the afternoon as the weather warms up.

The classes have been running for  a few months now and aim to increase strength and flexibility, as well as mobility, endurance and well being through gentle exercise. 

Portus said the classes were started to encourage older people to exercise. 

Classes will be hosted by a movement therapist and will run for 45 minutes.

 If anyone interested in the class is not already a patient at  Southern Medical Centre, they will need to see a doctor before the class to ensure they are fit enough to participate.
