Stormwater pits and pipework adjacent to and under Old South Road will be upgraded from September 26.
Works will take place between Retford Road and Derby Street and are expected to be completed by mid October, weather permitting.
The road will be open to traffic for the majority of the works. However, detours will be in place when necessary via Ascot Road, Purcell and Derby Streets. Existing bus schedules will be unaffected.
Signage will advise of changed conditions and traffic controllers will be stationed onsite during construction. Affected property owners have been notified of the works and restricted access will be made available to these residents.
