The Anthem carer is holding her first exhibition, titled The World Through My Eyes, to showcase her macro-photography.
Lisa said photography was a hobby and she brought in her pictures as part of diversional therapy at Anthem.
“I would bring in the images and explain them to residents, which they really enjoy as it is so visual,” she said.
“Katherine [owner of Anthem and Sutton Farm] likes my pieces and said I should hold an exhibition.
“Suddenly, it was booked and I had three months to pull it together.
“Katherine likes to nurture the talents of the staff at Anthem.”
The exhibition will feature 11 framed macro shots of Scribbly Gum, some which Lisa has altered and others she hasn’t.
“With landscape photography, I’ve noticed people capture the whole scene, and I thought ‘why not do a portion of the landscape?’” she said.
“Portions are often overlooked, and the patterns and colours in the bark of the trees is fabulous.”
Lisa said she enjoyed many forms of photography, and she liked to share a wide range of images with audiences.
“I am very eclectic, I like black and white, abstract, macro, reflections, everything,” she said.
“The more variety you have, the more people you can each, so I try and mix it up a bit.”
The exhibition will be held September 30 at 6.00pm with wine and cheese at Sutton Farm Equestrian Centre, Sutton Forest.
The exhibition will then be open each day from 10.00am to 4.00pm until October 9.
