The high intensity, first grade grand final between Mittagong and Moss Vale went to penalty strokes after neither team scored in extra time.

At the break Mittagong led with a 2-1 score. Max Hanrahan evened the score for Moss Vale after he scored a goal off a penalty stroke. A few moments later Hanrahan scored again, followed by a goal from Teo Aungle for Mittagong.
At the final buzzer the score was 3-3 and the match was sent to extra time. Both teams kept up their defence and no one scored.
The game went to penalty strokes and Moss Vale won the match 8-7.
Mittagong captain Andrew Pinkerton said it was a very competitive match.
“Both teams worked really hard for victory and that’s why it all came down to strokes,” he said.
Moss Vale captain Rowan Tickner said it was a tough match for the team.
“It took a lot but we got there in the end. It was a very tough and intense game and we left everything on the field,” he said.
