Applications for the DnA Festival Emerging Artists grant are now open for 2016.
One of the original festival organisers Rob Macdonald said the DnA Festival was designed to support the “many talented and creative people in the Southern Highlands and showcase them in a different way”.
“The DnA Grant allows us to keep supporting emerging talent in the region,” he said.
The $3000 grant has been designed to provide assistance towards cost of materials, equipment, exhibition or marketing.
The grant is open to artists, artisans and designers who have been practicing their particular discipline for less than five years and are residents of the Wingecarribee Shire.
Judging criteria will include an emphasis on handmade techniques, and sustainable practices will be looked upon favourably.

The application deadline is September 16, and the successful recipient will be announced October 5.
