The Blacks first grade side will compete in an Illawarra District Rugby Competition preliminary final.
Bowral will take on University on Saturday at Ocean Park, with the winner to progress to the grand final.
Blacks head coach Gene Fairbanks said his team prepared for Saturday’s contest.
“We have some things we need to work on this week at training, but we want to make the grand final,” he said.
“But it will be a tough game against Uni.”
Last Sunday, the Blacks played in their first grade semi-final since 2008.
Bowral prevailed 31-20 over Avondale at Camden.
While pleased to win, Fairbanks said his side had room for improvement.
“We were not outstanding as a team,” he said.
The Bowral club last won the first grade rugby union premiership in 1999.
The side lost in the grand final three years later.
