CWA Evening branch
THE next meeting of the Southern Highlands Evening Branch of CWA NSW will be held on September 1. Meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month at the Mittagong CWA Rooms, Winifred West Park, Old Hume Highway, Mittagong.
They begin at 6.30pm. New members, of any age are welcome to come along and see what makes this branch so unique.

Nordic police walking
THE Southern Highlands Parkinson’s Support Group meets every Saturday for Nordic pole walking. The activity begins at the Bowral Swimming Pool carpark from 9am with participants walking to Bradman Museum coffee shop for a cuppa and a chat. They then wrap up the morning’s get-together with a walk back to the pool carpark. Poles are available for those who don’t have them. Details: Stuart on 4871 2836.
Seedlings playgroup
THE Bowral playgroup – Seedlings – runs each Monday and Friday from 9.30am to 11.30am at the East Bowral Community Centre. The group is for parents/guardians and grandparents and children.
It provides an opportunity to enjoy quality time with their children and gain support and encouragement from other adults. The mornings include free play in both the indoor and outdoor areas with a variety of toys available to suit different age groups. There are also crafts, music, story time and a light morning tea.
