A woman at the counter of a Kiama day spa has become the victim of an armed robbery.

The 46-year-old woman was working inside Coco Chai Day Spa, on Collins Lane, when she was approached by an unknown male about 1.50pm Monday.
Police have been told the youth was armed with a weapon when he threatened the woman and demanded money.
The woman complied and the youth left with cash.
The woman was not injured in the encounter.
Police have not provided details of the weapon involved.
Officers from Lake Illawarra Local Area Command were notified and commenced an investigation.
As part of their inquiries, police would like to speak to a youth who may be able to assist them.
He is described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, aged in his late teens, about 170cm-175cm tall, with dark brown hair.
At the time he was seen wearing a dark jumper and dark pants.
Police are appealing for anyone with information about the robbery to come forward.
