Bowral’s under-11Bs side has progressed to the Group 6 Junior Rugby League (JRL) grand final day.
The side secured its place with a thrilling 12-10 win over Camden Blue in a semi-final on Sunday at Mittagong Sports Ground.
The Kookaburras conceded a try in the first half and went into the break trailing by 6-0.
However, Bowral bounced back after half time courtesy of tries to Lachlan Goodwin and William Murdoch to take a 12-6 lead.
The tries were converted by Thomas Sargood and Hannah Gage-Simpson.
Camden scored a try in the final minute, but Bowral was able to hold on for a two-point win.
Camden’s tries were scored by Joseph Vinter and Dakota Brady.
Rory O’Neill booted a conversion.
The result means Bowral progresses straight to grand final day on September 4 at Picton.
Camden will take on Picton in a preliminary final on August 28, with the winner moving into the grand final.
