Highlands Drive Safe was recently nominated for an honour in the 2016 Telstra Business Awards.
The business was one of six finalists in the micro business award category.
Unfortunately, the Highlands Drive Safe team was unsuccessful.
The winner was pet care business Rufus and Coco.
The Tylers attended the awards ceremony in Sydney.
While disappointed to miss out, Ms Tyler said the awards were a great learning curve for her business.
“We met the NSW minister for skills John Barilaro who congratulated us on being nominated,” she said.
“We discussed the role NSW Small Biz had in helping us formulate our business plan.
“Small Biz falls under the minister and he was interested in how this helped our business.”
Goulburn MP Pru Goward visited Highlands Drive Safe on Friday to present the Tylers with a certificate for being a finalist.
