The Southern Highlands Symphony Orchestra hosted the gala concerts featuring music from Rodgers and Hammerstein in late June.
Of the funds raised, a cheque for $5000 was given to Alzheimer's Australia's chief executive officer John Watkins and the remaining money has gone towards string scholarships.
Auditions for the 2017 scholarships will be held in September and October, with dates and locations to be advised.
The next concert series to be performed by the orchestra will be held September 10 at 7.30pm and September 11 at 2.30pm in the Memorial Hall, Bendooley Street, Bowral.
