Sganarelle, or The Imaginary Cuckhold, is a comedy by Moliere first performed in Paris in1660.
The farce will be performed by actors from the Melting Pot Theatre company.
This is the first full length play taken on by the company, and stars Thomas Andrew, Michaela Bolzan, David Furey, William Davies, Daina Heatley, Anton Baggerman and Barbara Griffin.
Director Robyn Karakasch said while the play was set in 1660, the issues tackled were still prevalent today.
"[The plays centres around] making judgements in relationships, jealously and getting it wrong," she said.
"This is one of my favourite plays."
The story follows the consequences of jealousy and hasty assumptions in a series of quarrels and misunderstandings involving Sganarelle, his wife, and the young lovers Celie and Lelie.
The performance will be preluded by the showing of four 10-minute plays (5.00pm show only) from Crash Test Drama.
The writers and directors of the four shows cast their scripts from auditions earlier in the day, and are rehearsed for about an hour before being performed.
The best play will be selected for the finals later this year.
Two shows of Sganarelle will be performed July 30 at 12.00pm and 5.00pm at the Soliders Memorial Hall in Bundanoon.
The midday performance will be followed by light refreshments and a chance to chat with cast and crew.
After the evening performance, wine and nibbles will be served, followed by the presentation of the Crash Test Drama winners.
