Some Endeavour Energy customers from across the region experienced a power outage on Saturday and Sunday.
The Southern Highland News received several reports of power cuts across the Highlands.
Endeavour Energy media manager Peter Payne said 29,000 customers from across Endeavour’s electricity network were affected.
Mr Payne said the worst affected areas were the Southern Highlands and Blue Mountains.
Endeavour Energy set up “storm centres” in Moss Vale, Picton and Narellan to co-ordinate work for its emergency crews on the weekend.
Mr Payne said the most affected customers lived in Mittagong, Robertson and Yerrinbool.
He said a lot of issues were caused by large trees or branches falling on power lines.
“We had a lot of wind over the weekend and it started late Friday night,” Mr Payne said.
“We had crews that worked all day until 10pm on Saturday.
“They then worked on Sunday until 6pm.
“All issues are now cleared up.”
