AN UNDER strength Robertson men's hockey side is ready for its next challenge.
Robertson will miss two key players when it takes on Mittagong tonight at the Welby hockey fields.
The match marks round 18 of the Illawarra/South Coast men's first grade hockey competition.
Robertson will head into the match without Jed Schofield and Ben Wright.
Schofield and Wright are away in Darwin representing NSW Country at the 2016 Country Australian Team National Championships.
Robertson coach Jamie Murray said the pair would be missed by their team tonight.
"They are both key in the middle so it gives our young guys an opportunity," he said.
"It will be a good challenge for us."
Robertson and Mittagong have met once this season.
On that occasion, Robertson recorded a 2-1 victory.
Murray said he expected a tough challenge from Mittagong.
"Mittagong is a genuinely physical team," he said.
Mittagong coach Glenn Isedale said his team would need to stand up against Robertson.
"It's always hard against them so it should be a good game.
"It's good to see a local Highlands derby," he said.
