THE Moss Vale Dragons juniors created club history on Saturday.
The Dragons secured the Bob Hall Cup for the first time against rivals Mittagong Lions.
The cup is named in honour of local junior rugby league (JRL) stalwart Bob Hall.
Saturday marked the first time Moss Vale has won the cup since its inception in 2012.
This year's cup was divided into two rounds, with the first round held at Community Oval in May.
The Moss Vale and Mittagong teams met in four grades that day, with the honours split at two wins apiece.
Only one game was played between the clubs in the return round at Mittagong Sports Ground on Saturday.
The Dragons under-16As team took home the cup after securing an 18-14 win over the Lions.
Lions JRL club secretary Billy Hayward said Moss Vale deserved the victory.
"It was a great game," he said.
"We had two tries disallowed, but Moss Vale was too good on the day.
"Both teams played really well and the club spirit was terrific."
