The sanctuary will hold a Gala(h) Day to celebrate International Picnic Day and showcase the beauty of the sanctuary.
Wirrimbirra Sanctuary Saturday manager Kerry Timms said there was plenty to explore on the day.
"You can go for a wander in the bush or visit the fauna protection area where native Australian animals wander the path," Kerry said.
"There's also a native nursery for any native plants you might be looking."
Kerry said the event was the perfect opportunity to celebrate International Picnic Day.
“We had to find a day to hold a picnic and this seemed like a good opportunity,” she said.
“Come along, enjoy yourself and enjoy a wonderful place.”
There will also be a small art display which will feature images of nature.
There will also be a street stall which will sell artworks, bric-a-brac, bags, books and DVDs.
There will be tea, coffee, morning tea and light lunches served from 10am to 3pm.
If you would prefer to pack a picnic, there is a picnic area near the Visitors Information Centre.
