THE Bowral Blacks were inspired to back-to-back victories at Eridge Park on Saturday.
Bowral's first and second grade teams recorded wins over Shoalhaven in the Illawarra competition.
Bowral secured a 40-8 win in first grade and the Blacks second grade side secured a 27-5 victory.
Before the games, the Blacks players had two special visitors in the change rooms.
Wallabies great Reg Smith and NRL star Sam Burgess addressed the Blacks and present players with their jerseys for the day.
Blacks head coach Gene Fairbanks said it was a great day for the club.
"It was a good day at the office in both grades," he said.
"We are pretty happy, especially to get a win in second grade."
Bowral's second grade side started the run with a solid 22-point win over Shoalhaven.
The Blacks then capped a great day with a convincing win in first grade.
Fairbanks said it was a disciplined performance by Bowral's first grade side.
"There were some really pleasing things and it was a good score line," he said.
"The most pleasing thing by far was our discipline, which we worked on at training this week.
"We didn't give away penalties and there was no back chat."
Fairbanks said his team started slowly on Saturday.
"The boys have started well all season, except on Saturday," he said.
"But we stuck to our structure and the boys were disciplined."
Fairbanks said the side was led by fullback Henry Yuill and forward George Harrison.
"The way that Henry and George carry the football is on another level," he said.
"The win will give our boys confidence."
The Blacks will prepare for their next game against Kiama this weekend at Kiama.
