According to statistics obtained from the Southern Highlands Line Tracker, there were fewer disruptions in April.
The total number of disruptions for the month was 33, down eight per cent on March.
However the number of disrupted days did increase.
Adam Jacobson, one of the creators of the 80by20 Facebook pages which keeps a track of Highlands trains, said he was glad to see continued improvement.
"We're encouraged to see further improvements in performance for the Southern Highlands Line with our unofficial statistics showing slightly fewer disruptions in April compared to March," he said.
"While more days experienced a disruption, these were mostly delays of around 20 minutes.
"We also noted that demand for the direct Central services appeared high during the school holidays and the general cleanliness of carriages has improved."
Wednesday, April 6 was the most disrupted day with seven disruptions.
Mr Jacobson said several services were replaced by buses that day due to mechanical issues.
The proportion of 2016 that has been affected by disruptions to date is 57.7 per cent with a total of 206 disruptions.
