MOSS Vale hosted a traditional rugby league derby on Saturday.
The Wests Tigers recorded a 36-18 win over North Sydney Bears in an Intrust Super Premiership game at Community Oval.
It was a tight affair in the first half and the Bears led by 12-10 at the break.
But the Tigers mustered five tries to two in the second half to secure a convincing win.
Ored Karwhin and Tyler Cassel scored two tries each for the Tigers.
Michael Oldfield also recorded a double for North Sydney.
Several players with NRL experience took part in the contest.
The Tigers team list included top players Jack Littlejohn, Josh Drinkwater, Jordan Grant and Joel Edwards.
North Sydney's squad was led by regular NRL footballers Oldfield and Cody Walker.
The Bears are the feeder club to the South Sydney Rabbitohs.
Wests Tigers NRL coach Jason Taylor was also spotted in the crowd on Saturday.
Former Wests Magpies players Mick Liubinskas, Mick Pinkerton, Carl Ross, Tim Murphy, Noel Kelly and John Hayes enjoyed the action from the club house.
North Sydney Bears general manager Greg Florimo said it was a disappointing result for his team.
Florimo said the Bears paid for more options late in sets.
"We showed a lack of respect for possession of the ball."
Saturday's game was hosted by the Moss Vale Dragons Rugby League Club.
Florimo praised the Dragons for the game.
"It was a good surface and it was a good day, but it's disappointing there was nothing" he said.
"The host club couldn't have been more accommodating.
"We will remember our time in Moss Vale."
