Hot Canary Gourmet Meat's chicken bratwurst received one of the top honours at the national Sausage King competition.
Owner Daniel Speranza said the team felt "over the moon" about their performance.
"We were up against the best sausages from every state," Mr Speranza said.
"To win is wonderful and completely unexpected."
The butchery placed equal third with stores from Baulkham Hills and Bligh Park in Sydney.
Mr Speranza said the accolade highlighted the team's professionalism and attention to detail.
"It shows people we're putting out a quality product," he said.
"We put so much time and care into sourcing our meat and ingredients."
Mr Speranza expressed his gratitude to customers for their encouragement and ongoing support.
"I really want to thank my customers who pushed me to enter in the first place," he said.
"I was quite busy at the time and I didn't know I still had time to enter."
The chicken bratwurst is available to sample from the barbecue every Saturday from 9.30am to 1.30pm.
Hot Canary Gourmet Meats is located at 32 Bowral Street, Bowral.
