The Sydney-based heart specialists have had a change in scenery and now offer their services in Bowral at the newly opened Southern Highlands Heart Centre.
General cardiologist and electrophysilogist Dr Imran Kassam and general and intervential cardiologist Dr Probal Roy have joined the practice, which was formed by practice manager Jane Scott.
After setting up a practice in Drummoyne, Ms Scott saw an opportunity to expand the service in the Highlands.
"We are here to support the community, especially because it is an ageing community," she said.
Ms Scott said she aimed for the practice to provide "readily accessible additional" cardiac services to the region.
The new centre offer office-based cardiac investigations such as resting and stress electrocardiograms, resting and stress echocardiogram and ambulatory blood pressure monitors as well as specialist consultations.
"The response from patients so far has been really positive," Ms Scott said.
The office is located at Suite 3, 2A Walker Street, Bowral and is open three days a week, and its phone line is accessible five days a week.
