The club is once again preparing for the two-day event to be held on January 7 and 8, 2016.
Organisers expect a very strong field including past champion Bree Arthur, Stacey Keating who last week won the Anita Boon Pro-Am in Auckland, Whitney Hillier and Danielle Montgomery. They are also hopeful that Australian great Rachel Hetherington, after her first visit to Moss Vale last year, will commit again to the Classic to contest the $30,000 winners’ purse.
In addition to the Lady Professionals the club expects to attract about 120 amateur golfers, and sponsors, each day playing for more than $3000 in trophies.
The club welcomes all interested golfers of the Southern Highlands and surrounding area to take part in the event and experience the thrill of competition the way professionals do.
Time slots on both January 7 and 8 are filling fast. Keen participants are urged to contact the Pro Shop on 4868 1503 to gain entry to the field.
Various other activities will also be conducted for the ladies in the lead up to the two-day competition including a Long Drive contest and nearest the pin shootout for cash prizes. These will be held from 5pm on January 6 and promise, as always, to be a great spectacle.
This will be followed by welcome drinks for the lady professionals, sponsors, club members and visiting guests.
After the completion of the Classic Friday afternoon there will be a formal presentation of the winner’s cheque and amateur prizes followed by the drawing of the Classic Raffle with first prize being four nights stay at Rydges Port Macquarie.
