This is according to a Southern Highlands horse whisperer who has launched this unique Equine Experiential Learning (EEL) service from her property, 'Eureka Pines', near Moss Vale.
EEL facilitator, Soo Broster, said her new business, Eureka Horse Wisdom, could offer open-minded people insight, growth, creativity, healing, focus and self-confidence with her herd of special horses available for interaction session for individuals or groups.
"Just as dogs and cats are known to support emotional wellbeing, horses do too," said Soo who moved to the Highlands in 2014.
"As gentle, large animals, horses are honest, and non-judgmental and able to guide us if we allow ourselves to connect with them.
"The beauty and power of horses has attracted human attention for centuries.
"With huge, sensitive hearts and immense energy fields, horses live in the moment and are therefore perfect, teachers in the art of mindfulness and authenticity and awakening awareness of our own behavioural habits, fears and blocks."
Soo said the effects of spending time with horses could be subtle or blatant, immediate or gradual and usually long-lasting, with most clients leaving with a sense of achievement, wellbeing and calm.
"One lady came to me with debilitating migraines and after one EEL session, her migraines stopped," she said.
"But we are not medical specialists and do not diagnose or advise, nor can we train our horses to do this work.
"We just let our horses, including some very special individuals, work their magic."
Soo said EEL treatment, which she was keen to have accepted as natural therapy by health funds, was particularly suited for people suffering stress and anxiety or in need of support or guidance.
"Trust, confidence, communication, respect and kindness are among the lessons the herd can teach us so it's well suited for a wide variety of people," she said.
"And no previous experience with horses is required, with most EEL work conducted on the ground where our nurturing and intuitive horses approach people seeking engagement.
"Healing from horses is really an untold story which we are only beginning to understand.
"I believe these magnificent beings can help us reclaim our ability to think and feel with our hearts. Precious time spent in their space is an invitation to learn - not a privilege."
EEL session of 1-2 hours are available for $275, with additional session $165 (concessions are $198 with extra sessions $132).
For groups of 3-5 people, sessions are priced at $550 for the group, with extra sessions $363.
