Claude will bring his Deep Fried and Satisfied tour to Bowral Bowling Club this Saturday.
"It's my first time performing in the Highlands," he said.
"It's exciting to go somewhere new and play somewhere I haven't played before."
Claude's musical style has combined slide guitar, bass and drums which has created a traditional blues, hard rock and funk sound.
He has become known his guitars which he has made out of materials such as a kitchen bench top, a cigar box and a six dollar baking tin that he has affectionately named Betty, Stella and Lucy.
He said the name of his current tour and second album, Deep Fried and Satisfied was inspired by the fast food culture in the United States, which he embraced while he was on tour there.
In addition to the US, Claude has toured through Europe and said both experiences were worthwhile.
"I liked waking up somewhere different every day," Claude said.
"You'll work every three to four days then you'll get a day off to do something - it was hard to fit sightseeing in sometimes."
Claude has won a string of awards which included Best Live Act at the Australian Music Independent Awards in 2013, Best Male Vocalist (2013) at the Australian Blues Music Chain Awards and a number one hit on Triple J Unearthed for his single How Can You Live With Yourself.
In addition to this, Claude's second album charted in the top ten of the US Blues Billboard Charts and top 5 in the Amazon Blues Charts in 2010.
Claude has also worked on a debut album in the past year with his side project rock band The Gentle Enemies, intended to coincide with a European tour.
Claude Hay will perform on Saturday, November 28 from 8.15pm at Bowral Bowling Club.
Tickets are $20 from Bowral Bowling Club or via the Moshtix website.
