AN organisation dedicated to helping Highlanders find a more sustainable and connected way of living was launched last week.
Ecos Southern Highlands officially got off the ground at a function hosted by Richard Kemp at E2, which was attended by more than 100 people interested in how they can make better choices that will ensure a clean, healthy and vibrant community now and for future generations.
The organisation aims to connect people and businesses who have similar ethical values and to inspire to "take a fresh look and reimagine what's possible in the way we eat, work and play in the Highlands," according to the founder Annabel Brown.
Ecos has four main initial objectives: a calendar of all things sustainable, an online guide, community forums and annual awards to recognise outstanding contributions to the environment.
