HIGHLANDERS will don the whites and return to the cricket field this weekend.
Round one of the Highlands District Cricket Association's (HDCA) senior and junior comps will be contested on Saturday, October 10.
Players in the first, second and third grades will contest the opening round of the season.
First grade cricketers will play a double header, with round two matches to be held on Sunday.
The 2015/16 HDCA season was officially launched at Bradman Oval on Wednesday afternoon.
HDCA chairman John Morris said preparations were complete for the upcoming cricket season.
"The season is looking pretty good," he said.
There has been one change to the first grade competition, with last season's premier Goulburn opting not to return to the HDCA.
Five teams will now contest the top grade - Robertson/Burrawang, Wingello, East Bowral, Hill Top Northern Villages and Bowral.
The first grade competition will start in the one-day format, with these types of matches to be played until the Christmas break.
Robertson/Burrawang will start as favourite after reaching the 2014/15 grand final.
Semi-finalists Hill Top and Wingello will field strong teams, while Bowral and East Bowral should continue to improve.
Six teams are set to contest the HDCA second grade competition.
Defending premier Robertson/Burrawang, Bundanoon, Mittagong, Mittagong Saints, East Bowral and Bowral return to the division.
Hill Top and Wingello have pulled out of second grade.
Nine sides are set to contest third grade in 2015/16.
This is an increase of three teams on last season.
Robertson/Burrawang, East Bowral, Bowral, Bundanoon, Wingello Tigers and Mittagong are back in this division.
There are three new teams - the Wingello Cubs, Bowral Kookaburras and Hill Top Northern Villages.
Matches will also start in the junior grades on October 10.
The under-12s, under-14s and under-16s will contest round one.
