The judging process is undertaken anonymously. This ensures that the judges receive an experience true to what the average customer would come to expect from the business.
Thus far, the quality of the teams behind the well-known businesses has shone through wonderfully.
It is already widely known that the businesses of the Southern Highlands provide the local community with top-tier products and services.
However, the service experiences provided during the judging period has shown that the principles of good old-fashioned service is still alive and well in the community.
The colourful characters prevalent in the local area have come to the fore; many businesses are simply willing to go above and beyond for their customers.
For the local community, the benefits are clear; businesses willing to go the extra mile improve the standard of living for all customers.
Finalist businesses are also encouraged to take the opportunity to submit Business Information detailing the background of the business; information which might not be gleaned from a physical visit.
This includes business history, philosophy, staff training and efforts toward sustainability. Customer testimonials and feedback are also valued highly by the judges.
The 2015 Southern Highlands Local Business Awards will culminate in an exciting night of celebration for all finalist businesses.
The Southern Highlands Local Business Awards presentation evening, held on Wednesday, October 21 at Mittagong RSL Club, will mark the announcement of the category winners for the 2015 Southern Highlands Local Business Awards program.
