The ISA winter sports finals had everything - excitement, emotion and exhaustion.
All games were played in warm conditions, which affected every team participating.
Players battled on gamely towards the end of matches, with reserves being a vital part of coaching strategy.
The Chevalier netballers at Penrith were involved in lots of close games.
Chevalier's open blue (thirds) triumphed over the college's open maroon (fourths) by three points.
This was a great game.
Likewise, Chev's junior A1 and A2 teams played each other.
The match was extremely competitive with the Year 8 girls triumphing over their Year 7 rivals.
The junior B and junior C teams represented Chev well all year.
Despite being on the wrong side of the score line on grand final day, they will represent Chev in netball for the next four-to-five years.
The inter C team has done fantastically well this season.
A group of Year 7/8 girls has played against Year 9/10 girls every week.
They played really well and almost took out the title in their division.
In the hockey at Moorebank, Chev had three teams playing and it was good news for all three.
The junior A team put five goals past Redlands
The open C girls may not have scored, but a 0-all draw was enough for them to be declared joint premiers.
Likewise, Chev's junior B girls drew 1-all against Central Coast and were also joint premiers.
The Chev football teams at Blacktown enjoyed playing on superb pitches and in great conditions.
Chevalier's girls junior blue (B) team started the day of well with a great 2-0 win over Central Coast Gold.
In the boys first match of the day, the 13s upset hot favourite Blue Mountains 3-2, with all goals coming from Jonah Elias.
In the girls junior A game, Chev's girls went down 5-0 against a very good Central Coast team.
The boys 14s went in favourites against Redfield, but failed to take their chances and went down 1-0.
Better news for the 14C team at Oakhill, which won 1-0 and capped off a great season for this team playing in the division one comp.
Rob Moran's open thirds girls team has been winning all year.
Grand final day was no exception with a 7-0 win for Chev against Central Coast.
Goals were scored by Izzy Malcolm (four), Kenzi Skepper (two) and Emily Walsh.
In the boys firsts match, Chev's team played extremely well but could not find the back of the net.
St Paul's found a way past the Chev defence to take its chance and one goal was enough for a win.
Once again Chevalier has performed extremely well in all winter sporting competitions.
Chev had 18 teams competing in ISA winter sports finals and ended up with nine winning teams.
Chevalier College students brought home the champion school shields in netball and girls and boys football.
