Southlands Care op shop specialises in food parcels for people and their pets.
"They don't even have to give us a name or a reason," says manager Heather Wells.
"It is just what we do, and it is a good-sized hamper, too."
The op shop also has the usual array of pre-loved knick-knacks. Donations are always welcome, and large items can be collected.
"Somebody donated all their grass clippings once!" Ms Wells said.
"We have our 'seasons' of dumping" - the spring-clean of September is such a time - "and it does cost us to dispose of dirty and broken rubbish at the tip."
So when spring-cleaning, "think twice" - should it be donated or dumped?
The op shop is an outlet of the Moss Vale Connect Christian Church.
"We've been here [on Browley St] nine years," Ms Wells said. "This building was our church originally, which is now on Spring St."
The op shop, open weekdays 10am-4pm, welcomes volunteers: call mobile 0425 209 505.
August 23-30 is National Op Shop Week.
