THE Bowral Blacks will cap off their 2015 season this Saturday, August 29 at home.
The Blacks first grade side returns to Eridge Park to face Tech-Waratahs in the Illawarra Rugby Competition.
Bowral is searching for its fifth win of the year on Saturday.
The match marks final regular round of the competition.
No matter what the result, the Blacks won't finish the season in last place on the ladder.
It will be the first time in six seasons that Bowral has avoided the wooden spoon.
Blacks coach Paul Frean said it had been an improved effort from his team in 2015.
Frean said the club had “righted the ship” after some previous difficult seasons.
"We've had four wins and it's been a building year," he said.
Bowral heads into the contest on the back of a 40-17 loss to Shamrocks.
The Blacks conceded some early tries and were always on the back foot last weekend.
Frean said his side made 14 handling errors and failed to build up pressure against Shamrocks.
"We were unable to play to a consistent game plan and we lost our composure," he said.
However, Frean said he was pleased with Bowral's effort in the set pieces, such as lineouts and scrums.
Frean said Bowral's best players were captain Tim Lewis, Charlie Hamilton-Fox, Henry Yuill and Dave Blume.
The Blacks will hope these four players lead the way again on Saturday against Tech-Waratahs.
