THE Highlands was a big winner on Independent Sporting Association's (ISA) grand final day.
Chevalier College and Oxley College combined for 11 victories in ISA deciders on Saturday for the winter competition.
Chevalier had 18 teams across several sports reach the finals series.
Nine of these sides emerged as champions on Saturday.
Oxley had two winners on the day.
Four Chevalier College netball teams faced off against each other in two grand finals on Saturday.
Chev's open blue (thirds) triumphed over Chev's open maroon (fourths) team by three points.
The junior A1 Chev side recorded victory over the college's junior A2 team.
Chevalier's three hockey teams all emerged as winners.
Chev's junior A team scored five goals to record a convincing win.
The college's open C girls and junior B girls teams played out 0-all and 1-all draws respectively.
This meant Chev emerged as joint winners in each division.
Chevalier also had four wining football teams on Saturday.
The girls junior blue team recorded a 2-0 win and Chev's girls open third grade side had a 7-0 win.
Chev's Jonah Elias scored a hat-trick as the boys 13s team recorded a 3-2 win.
Chev's boy's 14C football side also recorded a 1-0 victory.
Chevalier's co-curricula administrator Andrew Bell said the college's community was pleased with the results.
"We had 18 teams in the finals and nine winners, so that's a 50 per cent success rate," Bell said.
"It would have been nice to win everything, but you can't always do that.”
Oxley College had four teams on ISA grand final day and two sides emerged victorious.
Oxley's girls first grade football team recorded a 2-0 win in its inaugural year in the ISA competition.
The college's boys second grade football side also recorded a 4-0 victory.
Oxley's girls first grade netball and girls first grade hockey sides lost on Saturday.
Oxley College's sports administrator Kim McNaught said it was a good day out.
"There were lots of smiles from our players, teachers and parents," she said.
