THE Southern Highlands Netball Association (SHNA) has re-confirmed its message on strict officiating this season.
Just three rounds remain until the 2015 finals series gets underway on August 29.
On Saturday, SHNA umpire co-ordinator Renae Lewis stressed the need for stricter rules for players across all grades.
SHNA competition co-ordinator Kate Bow said it was an important time of the season.
"Renae re-confirmed that it gets tough now and the umpires need to pick up everything," Bow said.
"There is no time for leniency and our message is that we need to get tough.
"It's hard for the little players, but they need to put into action everything that they've been taught."
Round 12 of the SHNA competition was held under calm weather conditions at Eridge Park on Saturday.
Bow said there were good matches contested across all grades.
"It was a much nicer day than last week, a lot less windy," she said.
"Everything went well."
