THE men's triples champions have been decided at Bowral Bowling Club.
Mick Flynn, Jeff Williams and Ashley Lewis secured the title with a 19-12 win over Dean Anderson, Stephen Della and Greg Lewis.
The players only had to complete three ends as the match was suspended six weeks ago owing to bad light.
At that stage, Flynn, Williams and Lewis were leading 16-11.
On the 19th end, Flynn put the pressure on when he outdrew Anderson to hold shot.
Della then drew inside Flynn's bowl to hold shot.
Williams trailed the jack and held shot to give his side a 17-11 lead.
On the 20th end, Anderson played two back bowls and Greg Lewis didn't come close to hitting the jack.
This meant that Flynn, Williams and Ashley Lewis picked up two shots to lead 19-11 with one end to play.
There was no late surge by Anderson, Della and Greg Lewis.
Flynn, Williams and Ashley Lewis were crowned triples champions.
Pennant clash
THE Bowral ladies pennant team has requested a match against the club's men this Thursday at 10am.
The ladies team has advanced to the state finals of the pennant comp, to be played in mid-August.
Three weeks ago, the Bowral team won the zone pennant flag.
The side held a match against the Bowral men's side only a few days before winning the pennant.
The match proved great practise with the ladies winning one rink and losing another rink.
