The 23-year-old carpenter is set to head to the UK for six weeks to develop his skills and knowledge base.
This month Mr Meyers will head to Wales and England for a six-week scholarship courtesy of the Big Brother Movement (BBM).
The Highlander will undertake a four-week leadership program in Wales.
He will then go to London for a fortnight for work experience at ASR Construction.
The opportunity was made possible by Mr Meyers' involvement in last year's WorldSkills Australia National Competition.
Mr Meyers took home a bronze medal and fellow Highlanders Sam Spong and Nick Roman also competed.
Mr Spong and Mr Roman will represent Australia at the 43rd WorldSkills Competition in Brazil this August.
Under competition rules, Mr Meyers was ineligible to compete in Brazil because of his age.
However, he was able to apply for a scholarship with BBM.
Mr Meyers is a fully qualified carpenter at AJ Corby Constructions in Bowral.
He said the leadership program and work experience would provide a great opportunity to learn new skills.
"People do things differently everywhere in the world so it's a chance to learn new things," he said.
"I knew about the scholarship from the start [of the WorldSkills competition] so it was what I was working towards.
"I look forward to meeting new people and I love to travel."
