The Veolia Mulwaree Trust's Creative Arts Scholarships program for 2015 recognised a total of six individuals, including Moss Vale composer May Howlett.
Ms Howlett was awarded the 2015 Arts Practice Scholarship for $3000 for the production of a CD of her piano music.
The CD will be produced in Australia by Ms Howlett's publishers, Wirripang.
Italian pianist Alessandra Garois will come to Australia in January 2016 to perform the full program at concerts in the Southern Highlands and Sydney.
The artists and their families attended a scholarship presentation on Tuesday, May 19 in Goulburn with scholarships presented by Veolia Creative Arts patron, Jennifer Lamb OAM.Regional Arts Development officer with Southern Tablelands Arts (STARTS) Susan Conroy and council's Cultural Development officer Jenny Kena were in attendance.
The Veolia Mulwaree Trust congratulated the artists on their success and wished them all the best in the coming year.
