BURRAWANG and Mittagong was forced to share the points on Sunday.
A late Mittagong goal helped the team secure a 1-all draw in the first grade ladies' hockey match at Welby.
Burrawang had all the running during the early stages and jumped to a 1-0 lead courtesy of a Pippy Eccleston goal.
The visitors held that advantage for the majority of the contest before conceding a goal in the dying stages.
Burrawang coach Marlie Gulson had mixed feelings about Sunday's result.
Gulson said her players felt okay but were let down by fitness issues in the last five minutes of the game.
"Our fitness let us down," she said.
"Mittagong was missing some key players, but we feel okay about the game."
Gulson said Burrawang's standouts included Leanne Cleary, Gabby and Georgie.
She said the team was improving as the Southern Highlands Hockey Association season progressed.
"We are getting better and better each week," Gulson said.
"The girls are soaking up all the information I provide them and that's what you want as a coach.
"We are getting there slowly."
