Ken Handley and Dennis Beatty were up against George Bott and Ashley Lewis.
Handley and Beatty came away with a 20-15 win.
The championship was won in the first six ends when Handley and Beatty went to a 12-2 lead.
Bott and Lewis bowled too many short bowls and their opponents took advantage.
On the 16th end, the bowls played by both sides was of a high standard.
Bott and Lewis held shot.
Handley and Beatty hit the jack clean into the ditch to hold four shots to go to a 19-9 lead.
There was no relief for Bott and Lewis, as desperately as they tried to get into the match.
Both Handley and Beatty continued to bounce back with good bowls to outplay them.
It appeared as if Bott and Lewis had played their grand final last week, when they caused as big boilover by defeating Mick Armstrong and Mick Spong in their semi-final.
Handley and Beatty had been improving each round and deserved to win the championship.
They showed that by putting pressure on early, it will pay dividends at the finish.
Winning skip Beatty thanked his playing partner Handley and acknowledged the sportsmanship display by Bot and Lewis.
Losing skip Lewis said there was no hard luck story and the better team on the day deserved to win.
Bowral Bowling Club patron Lew Wilson made the presentation of winning badges and congratulated both teams on their display.
