It was a great day for Moss Vale Thistle Red, which signaled its Highlands Soccer Association (HSA) premiership intentions with a 6-0 win over Mittagong.
Moss Vale Thistle Black recorded a tense 1-0 win over Hill Top, but Moss Vale Thistle White was defeated 2-1 by Crookwell.
Thistle Red coach Bill Smillie was left pleased by his team's performance.
Dominique Palmer led the charge with a hat trick of goals and Christine Woods booted two for the winner.
Smillie said Saturday marked Thistle Red's first match of 2015.
"We have seven new girls in the team and it was our first game of the year," he said.
"It was a good team effort and Jen Menzies and Jess Mallon did really well."
Moss Vale Thistle Black recorded its inaugural win of the season with a 1-0 win result against Hill Top.
A goal in the first half by Christine Hudd proved the difference between the two sides.
Moss Vale Thistle White fought hard but fell to Crookwell by one goal.
Lyndsay Sunderland scored the sole goal for Thistle White as Crookwell proved too strong at the Church Road fields.
The Moss Vale men's premier league team experienced a 7-1 loss to Marulan on Saturday.
The club's men's reserve grade side was pipped 5-4 by Bowral and Moss Vale's men's third grade side was thumped 7-0 by Bundanoon.
The Moss Vale youth side played out a 1-all draw with Bundanoon.
