The Frensham School student has gained selection for Australia to compete at the 2015 Youth Commonwealth Games.
Wilson has been picked for the athletics time in the discipline of high jump.
The event will be held at APIA Park, Samoa, in September.
Wilson, 15, hopes to break her personal best record.
Her current best is 1.77 metres and Wilson said she was confident she could reach higher heights.
"We are expected to jump close to our PBs or to better them," she said.
"I am aiming to jump higher than my PB and I think I can achieve that.
"It feels pretty good to be selected for Australia."
Wilson was picked after she impressed at the national athletics championship last December.
To qualify for an international youth event, high jump athletes had to reach 1.77m.
Wilson was one of three participants to jump to the qualifier height.
The other two athletes were selected for the World Youth Athletics Championships and Wilson put her name down for the Youth Commonwealth Games.
She was recently advised she had gained selection for the event.
Wilson has continued to train hard under the tutelage of her coach Mike Hamlyn-Harris.
The teenager heads to the gym three times a week to build her fitness base.
She will now head to Sydney's Homebush Stadium every Sunday for squad training.
Wilson said Frensham School would assist her to get to training each week.
"Frensham has provided me with a great support base," she said.
Frensham teacher Ros Buick said Wilson had continued to balance her sporting and study commitments.
"We are all extremely proud of Paige," she said.
