SOME of NSW's brightest dressage talent headed to town on the weekend.
The Pony Club Association of NSW held its NSW State Dressage Championship at Bong Bong Racecourse on Saturday and Sunday.
Bong Bong proved to be an ideal venue for dressage.
Pony Club Association of NSW's marketing and state events co-ordinator Leanna Haines said the 2015 championship was a success.
She said it was the first time the Highlands had hosted a NSW pony club championship.
"It was really fantastic and we were happy with the weather," Haines said.
"Bong Bong Racecourse was perfect for dressage and there are plans to hopefully come back."
More than 100 athletes under the age of 25 took part in the event, which attracted competitors from across NSW and Queensland.
The two-day competition was hosted by Zone 10, which incorporates the Highlands, Wollondilly, The Oakes and Camden areas.

Zone 10 was among 27 zones which had the opportunity to apply for the rights to host the event.
The championship was divided into four categories: under-13s, 13-15 years, 15-17 years and 17 to under-25s.
Participants undertook two tests apiece.
Ribbons were handed out to the top 10 competitors in each test. Overall, there were four champions announced at the event’s conclusion on Sunday:
Under-13s: Tyara Smith (Helensburg)
13-15 years: Emily Ballard (Queensland)
15-17 years: Sally Groat (Griffith)
17 to under-25s: Rachael Temm (Forest Hills).
The Highlands had two representatives at the competition.
Berrima Pony Club's Sienna Harvey finished fourth in test 2.3 in the 15 to 17 years category.
Moss Vale's also Caroline Gotterson participated in the 13-15 years division.
