The school held its open day on Saturday, March 28 and more than 600 people flowed through the gates to have a look at the facilities.
Many current students volunteered to be tour guides for visitors to the school. Deputy principal Barbara Santos said she was so proud of the Chevalier students and how they represented the school in such a fine way. "We leave it open to all students who would like to help take tours and the feedback we've gotten on their efforts has been lovely," she said. "They really showed the Missionary of the Sacred Heart charism."
"It's wonderful how the students showcased their school."
St Thomas Bowral Year 6 student Gianluca Rossi said he was happy to be able to have a look around Chevalier College.
"I like the school because there are a lot of experiences you can have here," he said.
"I play basketball, soccer and I swim so I'd like to be on the teams here."
His little sister Sienna, a Year 4 student, was impressed by the size of the school grounds.
"It's way bigger than our school," she said.
