Tulip, the puppy funded by the $33,000 raised at Tulip Time for Guide Dogs NSW/ACT, visited the staff at Tourism Southern Highlands
The four month old Labrador is enjoying her life as a puppy with her foster family in Narellan before she becomes a working dog.
Tourism Southern Highlands event co-ordinator Debbie Pearce said it was great to be able to follow up with Tulip’s progress.
“It’s great to have a tangible result from our fundraising. Guide Dogs will send us updates on Tulip so we know how she’s going.”
When she is 12 months old, she will go to Guide Dog Puppy School where she will be taught to guide a vision impaired person.
Guide Dogs NSW/ACT fundraising officer Lucy Mowat accompanied Tulip to Mittagong and said she hoped to bring her for regular visits to the Highlands.
