The fifth challenge was held at Wingello on Sunday in perfect misty Highlands weather.

The challenge, otherwise known as The Willo Enduro, the event is held in memory of late Highlander James Williamson.

Williamson died at the age of 26 in March 2010 due to an undiagnosed heart condition.

He was a world solo 24-hour champion and top-level XXCO and XCM rider.

Categories on?Sunday ranged from the under-13s through to grand masters.

There were four distance options on offer on Sunday - 13km, 25km, 50km or 75km.

Brendan Johnston took out the 75km open male category, while Jenny Fay won the major women's race. In the open male 50km category, Andrew Arthur brought home the line honours.

Eliza Kwan took out the open female 50km race.

For the first time in 2015, the James Williamson Enduro Challenge was included in the Australian Marathon (XCM) Series.

Everyone who finished on the podium in the 50km and 75km categories also received medals.

Jenny Fay and Brendan Johnston were awarded the series leader jerseys.

The main weight of riders was concentrated in the 50km open and masters categories.

All proceeds from the challenge race are put back into junior development. An annual training camp is held each year in November.
