GET ready for a big day of rugby union at Eridge Park.
The Bowral Rugby Club will host seven games this Saturday, highlighted by a Shute Shield trial match.
Well-known clubs Sydney University and Eastern Suburbs will contest all seven games.
There will be first, second, third and fourth grade games, along with three colts (under-20s) matches.
The action will begin at 10.45am and conclude with the Shute Shield game at 3pm.
The Intrust Super Shute Shield is considered to be the premier grade rugby competition in NSW.
Bowral Rugby Club head coach Paul Frean said Saturday was set to be a huge day of rugby union.
"There will be 280 rugby players who will bring their friends and family, so it's big for the area," he said.
"The facility will be packed out."
Frean said supporters could expect a high quality contest in the Shute Shield trial.
"Sydney Uni is normally ranked among the top rugby clubs in NSW and they are littered with rep players," he said.
"Easts are looking to start with a bang and put in a strong performance."
Tickets for the day cost $15 for adults while children and students enter free.
Saturday will also mark the unveiling of the new change rooms at Eridge Park.
The first stage of the project, which will include the upstairs canteen, is expected to be completed in the coming weeks.
In the lead-up, Eridge Park played host to Illawarra under-16s rugby trials last Sunday.
The list of participants included eight Bowral rugby players, who Frean said performed well.
The next trial will be held in Campbelltown this Sunday, March 29.
From there, the selectors will pick a 30-man squad for a trial match on April against the Central Coast.
"We have a really nice squad building," Frean said.
"The first trial went really well and there was some excellent talent on display."
